Some information about Bitter Orange Seed
Organic Bitter Orange Essential Oil, otherwise known as Bitter Orange, grown in France and North Africa, is widely used in aromatherapy for its fruits, leaves and flowers. The essential oil of Petit Grain bigarade is young and pale in colour and has a very characteristic, invigorating, lemony fragrance. It is notably used in the manufacture of Eau de Cologne and various skin creams. It is a tree much sought after in perfumery. Indeed, the zest of its fruit provides an essence traditionally used in liqueurs and aperitif wines (Grand Marnier, Curaçao...). The same tree will give an essential oil of bitter orange peel and the extremely rare essential oil of Neroli, extracted from the flowers.
Like Neroli oil (orange blossom), Petitgrain essential oil comes from the Seville sour orange tree. With properties similar to Neroli, but much less expensive, its delicate, sweet fragrance is somewhere between citrus and floral. It blends well with the scents of Bergamot, Lavender and Palma Rosa.
Its sedative and relaxing properties make this oil a natural tranquilizer that will be effective in combating many nervous disorders. It also has the property of being an anti-perspirant, a deodorant and regulates sebum secretion.

100% pure and natural oil
An essential oil is made up of chemically defined molecules (about 10,000 listed) that have been secreted by special plant cells. It can consist of from one to several hundred molecules, which helps explain why some essential oils have many properties but different therapeutic effectiveness. To guarantee the properties necessary for effective aromatherapy, it is important that an essential oil is 100% pure and natural (not cut, not deterpenated, not mixed with alcohol or vegetable oils) and preferably organic. This is the case for the essential oils we sell. They are sold in tinted bottles with a dropper cap.
