There are more than 600 species of Eucalyptus, among which E.globulus, E.radiata are cultivated for their essential oil. Oil should be selected wisely for the desired applications. Moreover, the Eucalyptus market is very lucrative and leads producers to concentrate the oil into eucalyptol.

Its fresh and camphorous scent blends well with lavender, rosemary and pine. It is widely used for all problems related to the respiratory tract. Refreshing as the air, it will clarify ideas and promote intellectual concentration.

*The chemotype is the identity card of the essential oil, its composition chemically defined by chromatographic analysis. The same plant can have several compositions depending on the place and the variety. A chemotype depends on a property, an odor, a taste.

Properties of eucalyptus globulus essential oil in diffusion

This oil is widely used for diffusion. Antimicrobial, antibacterial. It will relieve blocked airways. Diffuse 15 to 30 min in the bedroom before bedtime. It is also very effective against cooking odors, to purify the ambient air. Diffuse for 30 min. Finally, it is very popular for repelling mosquitoes and other insects. Diffuse for 30 min. Be careful not to use for prolonged diffusion. Preferably use Eucalyptus radiata.

Substances naturally contained in the essential oil of Eucalyptus globulus: Cineol 1.8 (Eucalyptol), Alpha-pinene, D-Limonene, Para cymene, Trans beta ocimene, Alpha terpineol, Beta caryophyllene, Terpinene range, Terpinyl acetate, Beta pinene . Allergens naturally contained in Eucalyptus globulus essential oil: D-Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool.
