Some information about the Tea tree

A traditional medicinal tree from the wetlands of Australia, it has been widely cultivated to satisfy a large demand for its interesting properties, particularly anti-infectious. It is a small tree with alternate needle-like leaves. Its name comes from the tea that was traditionally prepared from the leaves.

In French, we can also say arbre à thé. Its resinous, slightly musty aroma blends well with the scents of cypress, eucalyptus, geranium, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, mandarin and rosemary.

Native to Australia, it is traditionally used by aborigines to treat infected wounds or burns. Medical research is very interested in its many properties. It is the leading antiseptic oil, well tolerated and non-toxic (pure use is possible in many cases). It is essential in the first aid kit with lavender of course.

Tea tree essential oil has many properties, the main ones being: antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic and antifungal. Its applications are numerous. Cleansing and disinfecting, it is also suitable for the respiratory system and has a strong capacity to stimulate the immune system. When diffused, it will prevent the spread of infectious problems.

Note : Tea tree oil can be used pure in diffusion. But it can also be mixed with other essential oils. Pregnant women over 3 months old can use it in diluted air diffusion.

100% pure and natural oil

An essential oil is made up of chemically defined molecules (about 10,000 listed) that have been secreted by special plant cells. It can consist of from one to several hundred molecules, which helps explain why some essential oils have many properties but different therapeutic effectiveness. To guarantee the properties necessary for effective aromatherapy, it is important that an essential oil is 100% pure and natural (not cut, not deterpenated, not mixed with alcohol or vegetable oils) and preferably organic. This is the case for the essential oils we sell. They are sold in tinted bottles with a dropper cap.

Essential oils can help you

Essential oils are mainly used to help you treat many disorders. But be careful, even though essential oils are often extracted from edible plants, their concentrations mean that you have to be careful and respect their healing power. The use of essential oils is relatively simple and if you follow some basic rules, they will put their therapeutic genius at your disposal. Covering with essential oils has more advantages than disadvantages.

General precautions on the diffusion of essential oils

In the event of allergy, in particular respiratory, the greatest prudence is essential for this mode of use. The opinion of a specialist is then recommended. Do not use essential oils that are aggressive against the mucous membranes (essential oils rich in phenols or aldehydes).
