Set of 2 soft refills for children's toothbrushes
The 2 children's toothbrush refills are compatible with Caliquo brand children's brush models. The Caliquo toothbrush is a zero waste accessory. A know-how made in France, and an approach to replace only the essentials. For maximum life of your ecological toothbrush, only the head needs to be changed. Refillable soft bristle head.
Opt for the rechargeable brush
These brush heads are the same for the 2 models of Caliquo children's toothbrushes. They clip very easily onto the head of the brush. The fastening system is equipped with an innovative, patented and ultra-secure clip system. To prevent the rechargeable head from unclipping during use, only an adult can remove the used head by inserting a fine point (pen, paper clip, etc.) into the tiny cavity (less than 2 millimeters) provided for this purpose. Really reassuring for parents!
The brushes are well supplied with bristles, to guarantee optimal brushing while protecting the gums. The bristles are flexible, this respects the enamel of milk teeth and the curved shape of child molars. The head of the toothbrush being very small, it makes it easy to go into all the nooks and crannies of the mouth.
It is recommended to change your brush head at least every 3 months.
Rechargeable head : Economical, you only change the head. You produce less waste during use: it's ecological and sustainable!

Did you know ?
The disposable toothbrush represents in France 1400 tons of waste per year of non-recycled and non-recyclable plastics because they consist of mixed plastics. A so-called conventional toothbrush weighs about 18 grams. 18 grams of plastic therefore go in the trash every 3 months while only the bristles of the brush are worn.
The Caliquo company has therefore decided to act by offering ecological toothbrushes to get out of the all-plastic era by creating everyday objects that are sustainable and/or zero waste.
The rechargeable head system allows their toothbrushes to last a long, long time in our bathrooms! Thanks to this concept, plastic waste is divided by 8: only 8 grams per year are thrown away, i.e. less than a single disposable toothbrush. The used nylon heads are then recycled.
What happens to the nylon head of this brush ?
Caliquo has decided to work with Terracycle to offer you truly zero waste products that do not negatively impact the environment!
Terracycle gives a second life to objects that are difficult to recycle in conventional circuits, objects that would have ended up in landfill or incineration. The nylon in your toothbrush bristles and the ABS in the base of your Caliquo refill heads are among the materials that are difficult to recycle.
Your used refills are collected in the field through certain Caliquo partner shops that have chosen to be collection points. For the moment, there is no list of these collection points, as each shop decides independently on their participation.
However, you should know that all Day by Day bulk shops that Caliquo works with offer collection.
- If the shop you bought from offers to collect your used heads, you will just have to put your own refills in their special recycling container (whatever the box)! Once the retailer has filled the box, they send it back to us. We store it all at Caliquo, in our zero waste box which, once full, is sent to Terracycle for recycling!
- If it is not, don't hesitate to suggest it to them :-)
At what age should a child's toothbrush be used ?
Good oral hygiene must be adopted as soon as milk teeth appear, on average around 18 months. For toddlers, teeth cleaning should be regular and done correctly. Depending on age, the rules of brushing evolve just like the toothbrushes to use. In reality, it is absolutely necessary to start using a child toothbrush from the age of 18 months. Before that, you can if you want to start brushing your child's teeth yourself with a children's toothbrush model like the one from Caliquo, but your child is too small to brush their teeth alone. There are also specific models of baby toothbrush which are not really toothbrushes as we imagine them but also objects to bite on to stimulate your baby's gums and soothe these pains during the growth of the teeth. deciduous teeth.
Usage tips
To change your brush head on your Caliquo children's toothbrush, simply unclip the brush head by inserting a fine tip (pen, paper clip, etc.) into the tiny cavity (less than 2 millimeters) provided for this purpose. Be sure to hear the "click" validating the correct positioning of the brush head.

More about the Caliquo brand
Caliquo is first and foremost the story of the treasures that are discovered, often by chance, on a rainy day, in the attic of an old family home. And also the story of Grégoire, an agricultural engineer who dreams of being an inventor - and who is too bored in a financial audit!
When he finds some old 19th century toothbrushes hidden in a corner of his father's attic in Normandy his brain wakes up! In bone, his toothbrushes were not meant to be thrown away. The idea is there: why not make the toothbrush an object that we keep and stop throwing away 18 grams of plastic every three months ?
