Certification : Essential oil from controlled, certified organic cultivation, 100% pure and natural, uncut, undeterpenated. It is certified by Ecocert France (FR-BIO-01).

Origin : Sri Lanka

Yield : 1.5% to 3%. It takes 100 kg of ginger rhizomes to obtain 1.5 to 3 kg of essential oil.

Organic ginger essential oil

Ginger is native to Asia and is highly regarded in China as a spice but also for its medicinal properties. The Tibetans used ginger to help convalescents; Ayurvedic medicine prescribed it to relieve joints. Ginger essential oil is used in many aphrodisiac solutions. Its fresh and spicy scent blends well with citrus fruits to perfume skin care products.

Ginger essential oil is powerful. It brings energy and tonus in case of general fatigue of the body (physical, general, mental, sexual, digestive ...). An excellent anti-fatigue in almost all situations. It is also known for its help in case of nausea (motion sickness), inhaled on a handkerchief. It is a rather versatile essential oil capable of slowing down hair loss, stimulating the appetite, aiding digestion (especially in case of constipation), and giving you a "boost" in case of persistent fatigue. Finally, it is also very effective in case of muscle or bone pain.

*The chemotype is the identity card of the essential oil, its chemical composition defined by chromatographic analysis. The same plant can have several compositions depending on the place and the variety. A chemotype depends on a property, an odour and a taste. 

Chemical formula

The main constituents of ginger essential oil are alpha zingiberene +germacrene D+ beta bisabolene (35 to 45%), ar curcumene + beta sesquiphellandrene (10 to 25%), camphene (≤10%). 

Allergens naturally contained in this essential oil : geranial + neral, geraniol, limonene, linalool 

Main indications

Sexual fatigue, general fatigue, constipation, tonic hair care ...  

Therapeutic properties of the essential oil of ginger

Main : Digestive tonic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal, antinauseant.
Secondary : Nervous stimulant, aperitif (gives appetite), hair tonic

Attention !

Ginger essential oil can be dermocaustic and allergenic to the skin. Do not use in case of anticoagulant treatment or before a surgical operation. Not recommended for pregnant women over 3 months or breastfeeding women and infants. Never use more than 1% to 1.5% of ginger essential oil (25 drops to 45 drops in 100 ml of vegetable oil).

 

Usage tips

Essential oils are powerful natural substances and should therefore be used with care. Even if essential oils have been used since Antiquity, their mode of use and the precautions for use are often poorly known. Many books deal with essential oils. It is therefore advisable to refer to it to find out about the traditional modes of use.

As an indication, some examples of use 

InhalationGinger essential oil can be useful in case of nausea during transport. To do this, inhale the bottle of essential oil several times or put a few drops on an absorbent paper or handkerchief in the vehicle's cabin.

Application by massage or compress

It is advisable to mix a few drops of essential oil with a vegetable oil (sweet almond, jojoba, macadamia, rose hip, argan, olive, etc.) to use it as a massage oil. You can use ginger essential oil as a stimulant and aphrodisiac by mixing 2 to 3 drops in a neutral vegetable oil and massaging the lower abdomen and along the spine.

To promote suppleness of muscles and joints, but also to promote good digestion (in case of nausea, flatulence), mix 2 to 3 drops of ginger essential oil in a neutral vegetable oil and massage the affected area.

In broadcasting

 

To give a general tonus to the organism but also as an aphrodisiac, diffuse the essential oil of ginger 15 to 30 minutes in the room.

 

Oral use

To promote good digestion, dilute 1 drop of ginger essential oil in a teaspoon of honey or vegetable oil, or put directly on a neutral tablet, 1 to 2 times a day.

Against motion sickness and nausea, 1 drop of ginger essential oil on a sugar cube, outside of meals.

As an aphrodisiac mixture : 1 drop of ginger essential oil + 1 of geranium + 1 of lemon in a teaspoon of honey, or directly on a neutral tablet.

Use in the kitchen

To flavour your dishes and desserts, dilute 1 drop of ginger essential oil in vegetable oil or milk at the end of cooking.

Use in the bath

To stimulate local circulation but also for its warming action, disperse a maximum of 8 drops of ginger essential oil in the bath.
