Some information about the cypress
Originally from Asia Minor, cypress trees, about 30 m tall, with pyramidal shape and persistent foliage, are commonly represented in the Mediterranean basin. Often sought for the manufacture of art objects, because unalterable in time, cypress is also known for its therapeutic virtues, especially for its beneficial actions on traffic. Very pale yellow colour, the essential oil of cypress, by its ambrated fragrance, is often used in post-drug lotions.
Cypress essential oil is one of the sweetest and least dangerous, its fragrance releases a sweet flavor and a powerful odor of resin that fits well with pine, and rosemary. It tones the tissues and regulates the secretion of sebum. It is ideal for fatty skins.
Astringent, it will be ideal as after-shave. Stimulating for traffic, it will warm hands and cold feet. It will also reduce stress and nervousness.

The essential oil of Cypress is primarily composed of monoterpenes (delta-3-carene, pinenes) and some sesquiterpenes (about 10%). Cédrol is around 0.8% to 1%.
