Species native to the coast of New South Wales in Australia, eucalyptus seem to be surrounded by a bluish halo from the evapotranspiration of the leaves during the summer heat. The essential oil is colorless and its aroma fresh and slightly minty. Very volatile, very penetrating and almost heady, it has this characteristic smell due to its major component (70% eucalyptole).

It is the most pleasant to breathe Eucalyptus essential oil. Its smell is much finer than that of Eucalyptus globulus. Eucalyptus radiata will therefore be better accepted by children. In diffusion, this oil is rather indicated for the respiratory tract.

Properties of eucalyptus radiata essential oil in diffusion

This oil is widely used in diffusion. Antibacterial, antiviral, expectorant. To decongest in case of a stuffy nose, put 10 drops in a bowl of hot water, in fumigation in the room or to use in an essential oil diffuser for 15 minutes in the room before bedtime.

Substances naturally contained in the essential oil of Eucalyptus radiata: Cineol 1.8 (Eucalyptol), D-Limonene, Alpha terpineol, Alpha pinene, Terpinyl acetate, Terpinene acetate, Terpinene 4-ol, Beta pinene, Gamma terpinene, Myrcene, Alpha phellandrene, Citral, Geraniol, Para cymene. Allergens naturally contained in Eucalyptus radiata essential oil: D-Limonene, Geraniol, Citral, Linalool.
