Anaé Talc Powder is 100% natural, without perfume or adjuvant. It is particularly indicated for hygiene and daily care of babies and adults. Very soft texture and excellent absorbent qualities. Jar of 300 grams.
Known since antiquity as the softest existing mineral. It is extracted today from the Luzenac quarry in France. Talc is a finely ground powdered inorganic compound that is a component of minerals, especially magnesium silicate, hydrogen and oxygen. Since it is able to absorb water, it is used as a desiccant and against irritations.
If talc has always been used in cosmetics and for personal care, it is above all for its strong absorbent and mattifying power. Talc has the advantage of being a cheap, odorless, white and inert raw material, that is to say, when mixed with other ingredients, it does not interfere with them. It is also a product that can be kept for a very long time, which can be used at any age and for which there are no contraindications.
Anaé Baby Talc Powder is 100% natural, without perfume or adjuvant and of cosmetic quality. It is particularly indicated for hygiene and daily care of babies and adults.
Specially adapted to the daily washing of babies and the care of adults, talc has a very soft texture and absorbent qualities. Thanks to its softening action, it protects the skin against redness and irritation and calms itching. It can also be used to absorb excess foot sweat.
But if you think its use is limited to babies' bottoms and gymnasts, you're wrong! Its uses can be multiple, both in your daily life at home and in domestic hygiene.

The uses of talc do not stop there and can be numerous.
Eliminate perspiration : When using your deodorant, don't forget to put a little talc on top of it to absorb perspiration and thus prolong its duration of action.
Make-up : To have doe eyes, sprinkle your lashes with talcum powder after applying your mascara. You can also replace your usual powder with this product to obtain a matte finish. Apply it the same way you did with the compact powder.
Wash oily hair : If you have oily hair, use talcum powder as a dry shampoo. Sprinkle your roots with talc, leave on for a few minutes and brush your hair to remove residue.
In dry shampoo : Sprinkle talc on the roots of your hair using a powder brush. Wait a few minutes before brushing your hair to remove the residue. Just as it can be used as a dry shampoo, talc can be used to wash your cat without soap (and without having to wet it). You will see, he will appreciate!
Waxing : For soft skin protected from irritation, rub it with talc before each waxing. This operation will allow the hair to easily cling to the wax thanks to the absorbent power of the talc.
Remove sand from your feet : After a day at the beach, pour talcum powder on your feet to easily remove the sand that has become encrusted there.
Put on rubber gloves : The very thin rubber gloves used for housework or in certain professions can be difficult to put on. To help, put a little talc in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together as if you were washing them to distribute the talc everywhere, from the wrist to the fingertips. The glove will then slip on very easily and you will not have the unpleasant sensation of the glove sticking to the skin.
Clean the dog's coat : To easily clean your dog's coat, simply sprinkle it with talcum powder, massage it and brush it.
Untangle jewelry : A needle, talcum powder and a bit of dexterity will make untangling your necklaces a breeze.
Keep ants away : Nothing like talcum powder to keep ants from invading your counter or sensitive corners of your home. Sprinkle talc under your doors and in sensitive areas to keep ants away from your entrances.
Against aphids : Sprinkle your plants with talc, it will suffocate the aphids.
Removing a greasy stain : To remove a greasy stain from a garment, remember to sprinkle the soiled area with talc, wait an hour before rubbing it with a brush or a dry cloth. You can also degrease playing cards that have become sticky from being passed from hand to hand.
Remove traces of mould : Thanks to its absorbent qualities, talc is also an effective weapon against mould, especially on cardboard and paper. If you find old books that have developed a bit of mold in the corners, you can save them with talcum powder! Let the book air dry first, then dust with talcum powder. Leave on for at least 10 minutes before gently removing the talc with a brush. The stain will not be completely gone, but the smell and the risk of mold spreading will be gone!
Prevent wooden floors from squeaking : To prevent your wooden floor or the steps of your stairs from creaking when you walk on them, pour talcum powder between the joints. And if you rub the edges of a drawer with talcum powder, it will be able to slide smoothly again.
For clean fur : Sprinkle your fur with talc and leave on overnight. The next day, shake the fur to remove the powder, then brush with a soft brush.
For laundry without humidity : Place a small dish of talcum powder in your cupboard, this will prevent your laundry from smelling damp.
Anaé talc comes from one of the largest talc quarries in the world: the Trimouns quarry in Luzenac in the Pyrenees. It is an open-air quarry located at an altitude of 1800 m founded in 1905 which produces 400,000 tonnes of talc per year. The Trimouns deposit was formed 300 million years ago in a fault between two rock masses, one composed mainly of mica schists and the other of dolomites. In this fault, the rock was crushed by the pressure of the two masses, thus allowing infiltrations of water heavily loaded with magnesium.
This magnesium is bound to the dolomites to form magnesium silicate: ie talc. In the same way, mica schists transformed into chlorite.
It will be necessary to wait until the beginning of the 19th century for an artisanal collection to be organized at the Col de Trimouns. The white, tender and soft rock is ground in flour mills. The powder collected is transported to Toulouse to be sold to druggists and apothecaries. Until 1860 this trade is done on the back of a mule (there is between the quarry and the village 15 kms and 1000 m of unevenness) then in 1888 the exploitation is organized; bullock carts are used.
It was the development of paper mills in Ariège that triggered the industrial era for Luzenac. The arrival of the railway in the valley in 1888 and the installation of the first air transport in 1903 favored the development of the company.
This quarry employs 310 permanent employees and 110 seasonal workers. Due to its geographical location, the activity of the quarry is seasonal from April to November, but the factory operates all year round with the raw material stored during the good season.
