How to use this safety razor ?
Being a precise and very handy tool, the safety razor is ideal for drawing the contours of the beard. but it is also used for the complete shaving of legs or armpits for example. In practice, here's how it works:
Clean your skin with hot water. then use a foam, gel, soap or humidify a solid shaving bread (see here) then pass it on the skin to place a cream that is creamy. shave first in the sense of the hair. If there are some hairs left, then pass the safety razor in the other direction, and to the left and right if necessary.
Small shave trick: you can clean the shaved surface with cold water to close pores and avoid irritation. for ever more hydration, you can also apply our solid cocoa butter (see here).
Shaving tips for all skin types:
The perfect angle of shaving is 30° compared to the skin. Do not press the razor too hard on your skin. a constant pressure is required for maximum efficiency. prefer the start of the day to shave. Because in the evening, the skin is more fragile.
How do you put your safety razor into service ?
Nothing simpler! first thing before the first use, dispel the head of the handle. Then untie the head comb to slip your blade. lay the blade on the head and put the comb back in the right direction. Finally, see everything on the sleeve. The head will slightly incline the blade to ensure maximum safety during shaving.
After each shaving, remove the blade and rinse it, to avoid rust. Let it dry on a cloth in height (without the small, of course!) and store it until the next use.
What frequency should we change the blade ?
The frequency varies depending on the razed surface, the type of hair, the number of passages of the blade and how you keep them between two uses. on average, we advise you to change them every 3 to 4 shavings !
Zero waste: more plastic, more overconsumption, zero disposable
The average use of a disposable razor is one week (variable depending on the type of skin and hair). For a medium hard beard, it is advisable to change disposable razor at the end of 6 shavings, i.e. 48 razors/year... the production of 2800 classic disposable razors (of a well-known brand) is equivalent to the fuel consumption of a small cylindrical car over 100 km. a you make the calculation ..
With this safety razor, say goodbye to the plastic. here, we're talking about an oak wooden handle and a stainless steel head. A razor made to last a lifetime. It replaces tons of disposable razors !

What is the common point between a toothbrush, a cable to recharge your phone and a trash bag? Well, all these objects, very useful daily, are made from plastics !
In 2017, plastic production increased by 3.9% to 348 million tons. the European share represents 18.5% or 64.4 million tons. We must know that world production has almost doubled in less than 20 years.
The problem, we all know it: the management of the 100 million tons of plastic objects found everywhere in our cities, our forests, our countryside, our seas and our oceans.
Home Caliquo, we try, through our eco-friendly products, to propose an answer to these two questions:
1- what to do to limit plastic consumption ?
2- what to do to produce otherwise ?
