This moisturising and soothing daily care contains white seaweed powder (Chondrus Crispus). This is a red algae from which carrageenan is extracted and used in cosmetics for its gelling and binding properties. Chondrus Crispus seaweed is harvested along the northern Atlantic coast. In France, it is collected by hand during the high tides. It has been used for its gelling properties in food for hundreds of years. 

A second seaweed is part of the formula : Laminaria ochroleuca. Also known as golden seaweed, it is known to reduce photo-induced ageing by strengthening the hydrolipidic barrier of the epidermis. In addition, it has an important soothing activity as it decreases inflammation mediators in the epidermis, it also increases skin hydration and limits the natural evaporation of water through the dermis and epidermis. Rich in lipidic compounds including phosphatidylcholine, alanine, serine and vitamins A and E, it acts as a biological skin protector and soother.

Finally, a third seaweed is used in the composition of this treatment : coralline officinale. This is a red seaweed that contains a variety of ingredients that can help the skin to remove dead skin cells, eliminate free radicals and moisturise the skin, as would an anti-ageing treatment. It hydrates the skin, brightens it and makes it smooth. It is mainly found on the rocky coasts of Great Britain and Ireland. It gets its reddish hue from calcium carbonate deposits within the cell wall. The water of Les Fumades-les-Bains contains thermal sulphur (the most sulphurous in Europe), calcium, magnesium and copper. Lightly moisten your face. Then moisten your solid micellar gel under warm water. Apply your product directly to the face and then make circular movements on the face, eyes and lips until you obtain a light milky film. Rinse with clear water or remove the excess with a reusable cotton pad moistened beforehand to perfect your make-up removal. After using the Solid Micellar Gel, keep it dry on a drip tray or simply on the lid of the jar before storing it in its glass jar.
