When the warm weather arrives, it is common for our leisure time to be disturbed by snakes in the open air. They like shelters and hiding places of all kinds such as tall grass, stones, debris, tiles, rocks, tarpaulins, or even piles of various materials such as piles of wood or logs... You can therefore come face to face with a snake during a picnic near a river, or in the vicinity of your home such as the terrace or the pond...

If some people are downright phobic about them, their presence does not reassure most of the time. However, snakes are essential to our ecosystem. In particular, they regulate the population of rodents (mice, field mice, etc.), insects (flies, mosquitoes, bugs, cockroaches, etc.) and larvae. They can also prevent a garden from having its vegetable garden and plants destroyed by the small insects that devour them. The idea is not to eliminate them, you would be punished because snakes are protected species (law of 1976 which protects all the snakes of the territory).

The solution to not being disturbed by their presence is to put in place a solution that will repel them and keep them away from places where they are unwanted.

Made from cereals, margosa extract and vegetable oil, ALT'O SNAKES is a highly concentrated natural repellent that will effectively keep all snakes away from places where their presence is undesirable.

The use of ALT'O SNAKES is very simple since it is enough to create a barrier by spreading a line of granules around the zone which you wish to protect.

As you may know, the snake has a very powerful olfactory organ which it uses to decode the odorous molecules taken from the air by its bifid tongue. This organ is called the Jacobson's organ. Thanks to their forked tongue, they "collect" substances in the air. This information is transferred to the palate and then transmitted to the brain by means of the Jacobson's organ located behind the vomer, between the nostrils and the mouth. But in addition to the 'decoding' of this chemical data by the vomeronasal organ, a large proportion of snakes can also recognise the heat emitted by warm-blooded animals. Located in front of their nasal cavity, this information detector is used to find potential prey but also to recognise their family members.

Alt'O Snakes are composed of strongly odorous substances that are unpleasant for them, and they will immediately move away from them, preferring to go to a space where this odour does not exist. The reptile's escape is therefore guaranteed. Alt'O Snakes acts on the reptile's sensory receptors and acts as an excellent barrier.

Scatter the granules over the whole area to be protected to scare away snakes.

After 48 hours, make a 10 to 20 cm wide band around the area to be protected.

In order to have a good protection, plan at least 4 grams of snake repellent per linear meter, i.e. 400 grs for 100 ml. With this dosage, tests have shown that the area can be protected for 3 weeks (see tests)

Despite a rigorous treatment and good vigilance, a snake can emerge from the ground, for example, by passing through a field mouse gallery. It is therefore very important to remain vigilant by scattering a few granules on the surface of the area from time to time. In order to preserve the properties of this repellent, our cans are treated "anti-migration". It is therefore necessary to keep the product in its original container.

Biocidal active ingredient: Margosa extract (CAS: 84696-25-3): 0.1% m/m, vegetable oil. Biocidal product TP19.

Due to the strong odour of this product, it should only be used outdoors.
