Mosquitoes can smell you from a distance of 20 to 30 metres. It is the female mosquito that is looking to bite you. Not to annoy you, but simply to feed. She finds in your blood all the proteins she needs for her eggs to develop. And when it comes to eating quickly, the mosquito is very good. It only needs 2 to 3 seconds to fill up on your blood. To avoid being bitten, there is a solution.

With the Otentik repellent candle, mosquitoes and flies will stay at a safe distance. This candle, made from wax and Geraniol, has been designed to keep the most troublesome flying insects at bay during the summer season. It is designed for use inside your home. As with every new product, Dozlign has its effectiveness tested by an independent laboratory. The study looked at 3 types of insect. For mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus and Culex pipiens) and houseflies (Musca domestica). The results of the effectiveness tests after 30 minutes of burning this repellent candle will reassure you. Place the candle in the room to be protected on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Away from draughts and all flammable materials. Light the candle. Place the candle in the room infested by flies and mosquitoes. Its effectiveness has been laboratory-tested after 30 minutes' use. Do not burn for more than 4 consecutive hours.

Popular beliefs have long suggested that mosquitoes are only attracted to people with sweet blood. This would explain why some people fall victim to mosquitoes more often than others. In reality, it's not quite that simple. Although mosquitoes do indeed like to eat sweet foods, it is primarily the carbon dioxide they exhale that attracts them. The more carbon dioxide a person exhales, the greater the risk of being bitten. Secondly, according to a Japanese study, it is true that individuals with blood group O are more likely to be bitten because their blood secretes more carbohydrates.

Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from any flammable materials. May cause skin allergy. Causes severe eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly. In case of contact with eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and removable. Dispose of the contents of the container at a hazardous or special waste collection centre.
