Just like its long-established liquid counterpart, the purpose of solid cosmetics is to clean. The difference is that it comes in the form of a bar of soap. The advantages are numerous :

1 - Very effective : Yes, solid cosmetics are just as effective as liquid cosmetics, or even more so. As there is hardly any water in this solid cosmetic, the concentration of active ingredients is much stronger.

2 - A healthy product : The Lamazuna brand is committed to using the most natural formulas possible. The active tensides used in their solid cosmetics are perfectly adapted and non-aggressive. Sodium coco isethionate (a derivative of coconut oil) offers both excellent foaming and cleansing power, as well as good distribution on your skin. 

3 - More economical : Although the purchase price is a little higher than a classic liquid cosmetic, you will save money over time because a solid cosmetic lasts longer.

4 - More ecological : Using a solid cosmetic is an ecological act. The manufacture of solid cosmetics reduces the impact on the environment by using recyclable cardboard packaging and reducing water consumption. Peony powder (Paeonia officinalis root powder)
Its large red, purple or white flowers make the peony a plant mainly cultivated for its ornamental qualities. Thanks to the presence of paeniflorin in its roots, peony powder offers very interesting anti-itching properties, ideal for irritated scalps. This powder is a particularly suitable ingredient for calming itchy skin and scalps, especially those with dandruff.

Chaulmoogra vegetable oil (Hydnocarpus laurifolia seed oil)
Chaulmoogra has long been used in traditional Asian medicine, particularly in India and China for the treatment of leprosy and skin problems. In cosmetics, Chaulmoogra oil is traditionally recommended for its beneficial effects on skin problems (atopic skin, acne-prone skin, etc.). Chaulmoogra oil has important antibacterial and anti-mycobacterial properties. Thanks to its unsaturated and cyclopentenic fatty acids (hydnocarpic, chaulmoogric and gorlic), which are very specific, it helps to fight against dandruff. It soothes irritated, damaged and flaky skin.

Lavandin essential oil (Lavandula hybrida oil)
Lavandin is a hybrid plant of lavender, but it is in fact generally the plant that makes up the large purple clumps in the fields of the Drôme!  Lavandin (Lavandula X hybrida) is a hybrid between true lavender, which grows at higher altitudes, and spike lavender (Lavandula latifolia spica), which grows at lower altitudes, below 400m. The scent of lavandin is inseparable from Provence, its landscapes, cosmetics, perfumes and soaps. Lavandin is appreciated for its purifying scent. Calming and relaxing, Lavandin's fresh scent is perfect for relieving stress and nervousness. It is used in this solid shampoo for its calming, relaxing and healing properties. 

Wet and apply with your hands or directly on your scalp. It is not necessary to apply shampoo to your ends. Then massage the scalp to generate foam, rinse well and you're done !

This solid shampoo cannot be labelled COSMOS Organic for a good reason: our conviction to avoid absolutely all sulphated surfactants. Sulphated surfactants, even organic ones, are irritating to your scalp and have negative impacts on the environment, as documented by Cosmébio in October 2020. On the other hand, other types of surfactants are not, in our opinion, suitable for solid formulations or for effective and pleasant to use shampoos with a pH that respects your acidic scalp !

French organic sunflower oil (Helianthus annuus seed oil) : nourishes and protects the hair. We preferred it to coconut oil because of its French supply.

The surfactant (sodium cocoyl isethionate) : cleans hair without damaging the scalp. It is of vegetable origin but its manufacturing process involves a chemical synthesis stage, so it cannot be labelled organic. It is our choice to avoid sulphated surfactants that are aggressive for your hair and the environment, as well as surfactants that are deceptive in their cleaning powers.

The secondary surfactant (coco-glucoside) : boosts the foam provided by sodium cocoyl isethionate.

Palmitic acid, stearic acid : fatty acids derived from olive oil which enable the formulation of a solid shampoo, they provide hold and durability to the product.

Vitamin E (tocopherol, helianthus anuus seed oil) : an antioxidant of plant origin that prevents vegetable oils from going rancid. It is contained in sunflower oil. It may seem anecdotal as an ingredient, but it plays an important role in the durability of the product.

Cedrus atlantica bark oil : fights against hair loss, it is also relaxing and comforting. Adds a light woody note to the shampoo.

This product can be used for 12 months after the first use. 

70 ml solid shampoo. Packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. Size: 7 cm in diameter. It is more relevant to speak in mL rather than in grams. Our solid cosmetics are all handmade, they are cast in a mould of a certain volume, the density of our solids can vary from one batch to another because it depends on the hygrometry, the heat in the room, the density of the raw material batches. If the density varies, the weight varies, whereas the volume does not! A question of precision, therefore :) 

To guarantee a long life for this solid shampoo, as for all our other solids, keep it dry in a storage jar or in a Pochouette between each use. With essential oils. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use in case of allergy to one of the components. Not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women or children under 12 years old.

Since its inception, Lamazuna has been a green cosmetics brand. The story begins in 2010 with a click of the founder, Laëtitia Van de Walle, which will be a precursor and founder for the brand. At that time, Laëtitia decided to replace her classic cotton pads with washable microfibre make-up remover wipes.
