The disposable toothbrush represents in France 1400 tonnes of waste per year of non-recyclable and non-recyclable plastics consisting of mixed plastics. A conventional tooth bump weighs about 18 grams. 18 grams of plastic go to the trash every 3 months while only the hairs of the brush are worn.

The company Caliquo So decided to act by proposing ecological toothbrushes to get out of the era of plastic at all by creating everyday objects that are sustainable and/or zero waste.

The rechargeable head system is developed in 2013 and allows their toothbrushes to stay long, very long in our bathrooms! Thanks to this concept, the waste of plastic is divided by 8: only 8 grams per year are thrown, that is, less than one disposable toothbrush. Used nylon heads are then recycled.

Opt for refillable brush
These brushes are the same for all toothbrushes Caliquo present on our site. They clip very easily on the head of the brush. The fixing system is secure and cannot move during the brushing of teeth.

The brushes are well provided in hair, to ensure optimal brushing while protecting the gums. It is recommended to change your brush at least every 3 months.

Refillable head : Economic, you only change the head. You produce less waste for use: it is ecological and Sustainable ! The universal sleeve allows you to change your head for another type of head of the range Caliquo : flexible or medium.

What happens to the nylon head of this brush?
The companyCaliquo decided to work with Terracycle to offer you really zero waste products that do not negatively impact the environment!

Terracycle allows to give a second life to objects difficultly recyclable in classical circuits, objects that would have ended buried or incinerated. The nylon of your toothbrush hair and the ABS of your refillable heads Caliquo part of these complicated materials to recycle that Terracycle supports!

Collecting your used recharges is done on the ground through some partner shops Caliquo who made the choice to be a collection point. There is currently no list of these collection points, as each shop decides independently of their participation.

Nevertheless, that all Day by Day bulk stores with which work Caliquo offer the collection.

• If the store or you bought offers the recovery of used heads you will only have to deposit your own recharges in their own Special recycling (no matter the box) When the dealer filled his box, he sends it back to us. We store everything at home Caliquo, in our zero-waste box which, once full, is sent to Terracycle to proceed with recycling!

Soft or medium hair? The French Union for Bucco-Dentaire Health (UFSBD) recalls the importance of favouring soft-haired toothbrushes. Soft-haired toothbrushes are less aggressive for tooth enamel and gums. They are therefore particularly recommended to people with gum or teeth sensitivity. The soft hairs are also the ones that best pass through the interdentary spaces, allowing a more complete brushing. Dentistry generally recommends the use of flexible brushes to all patients because they are very effective, without squeezing teeth and gums.

However, medium hair brushes are the most common in the market. If you have no dental or gingival problems, you can use this type of toothbrush. On the other hand, if you see bleeding or pain in the gums when using your medium toothbrush, it is better to pass to a soft brush so that you do not attack your mouth.

Instructions for use:To change your brush on your ecological toothbrush Caliquo, simply remove the brush by pressing the back, and replace it. Be sure to hear the "click" validating the correct positioning of the brush.
