Our Habitat insect repellent is proven effective against many flying and crawling insects.

This repellent contains an active ingredient of plant origin : citriodiol. It contains 64% PMD, a molecule extracted from Eucalyptus citriodora, a tree cultivated in several regions of the world and a natural, renewable resource.

Citriodol is effective against ticks, lice, bedbugs, augusts, flies, fleas, ants, leeches, mosquitoes, wasps, cockroaches, spiders, etc.

Habitat insect repellent is a 100% natural, ready-to-use product.

Actives ingredients :  eucalyptus citriodora EC oil hydrated, cyclized - CAS 1245629-80-4: 6% (m/m). Class Biocide TP19 (Ready-to-use liquid repellent.

Shake before use. The product is active in 10 minutes. This product does not stain but on certain delicate textiles, it is advisable to do a test beforehand. In order to maintain its repellent action, it is advisable to renew the application every 3 days and every day in the event of an infestation. It will also be necessary to renew the application if the treated surface has been washed or wet. Spray the habitat insect repellent on a maximum of surfaces and everywhere you are looking for protection such as baskets and cushions for pets, curtains, blinds, net curtains, canvas tents, door and window frames...

It can also be used to treat your clothes, but being less concentrated, it will be less effective than our skin spray, also composed of Eucalyptus citriodora.

Reminder : This product contains PMD, newly called Eucalyptus Citriodora Oil or formerly Citriodiol.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, PMD is the only known natural substance capable of having an effective repellent action on mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus. A study has shown that “natural” PMD is more effective than the synthesized “version” and that natural PMD is as effective as DEET (N,N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide) in equal quantity!

It is likely, contrary to the many claims found on the internet, that PMD does not have a repellent action on all flying and crawling insects but only on insects that can be classified as "biting-sucking insects". » . What is safe and recognized is its repellent effectiveness on mosquitoes (tropical medicine), on lice (Cambridge Entomology Center), and good results on ticks (US National Library of Medicine)

According to the manufacturer of Citriodol, wasps and bees are not affected. Scientific tests have shown good efficacy on midges, sandflies, ticks, stable flies, black flies, deer shoes and ground leeches. More specifically, on mosquitoes, Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus, Aedes cantans, Aedes increpitus, Aedes melanimon, Anopheles sundaicus, Aedes taeniorhynchus, Aedes vexans, Anopheles albimanus, Anopheles arabiensis, Anopheles darlingi, Anopheles freeborni, Anopheles funestus, Anopheles gambiae quadrimaculatus, Anopheles stephensii, Coquillettidia richardii, Culex quinquefasciatus, Culex sitiens and taeniorhynchus Ochlerotatus.
