The Orange blossom comes from the bigaradier, a small trunk tree very branched into thorny branches. Its leaves are oval, whole, a little coriac and shining. Its white flowers, very fragrant, are grouped with a leaf blade.
Orange blossom flower water very popular for its exceptional aroma, is traditionally used in confectionery, for pastries and drinks. In internal use (in a tisane for example), it also has relaxing virtues for the nervous system.

Regenerator, soothing and moisturizing, the orange blossom hydrolat is particularly recommended for cut, devitalized, dry skins, as well as for acneic skins. It soothes, soothes, tones the skin and brightens the complexion, preventing the appearance of brown tasks. Astrinent, it refreshes the face and can be used throughout the day.

On the delicate skin of baby to perfume it : put organic floral orange blossom water on a cotton and gently apply to your child's skin.
To flavor your salty and sweet dishes : put 1 to 2 tablespoons of orange blossom water in your preparation to naturally flavor drinks, confectionery, pastries.

To relax and promote sleep : 1 teaspoon, pure or incorporated in a glass of water or in an infusion, before bedtime.

After the cutting and drying stages, the orange blossom is transferred to a local distillery to extract floral water from it in a process similar to that presented in our video.

Hydrolat is the water collected after distillation of a plant, it contains in small proportions the same components as the essential oil extracted from it, but also other soluble components contained in the plant that cannot be in the essential oil. The floral water, as its name suggests, is a "maceration" of flower petals in water, so the term hydrolat is more appropriate but in general it is rather the term "water" that is used.
Unlike essential oils, hydrolat, weakly concentrated in active ingredients, little to be used without special care.
