Alun Stone: dangerous or harmless?

Polemic on aluminum

The only aluminum derivative currently involved is aluminum hydrochloride, also known as aluminum zirconium pentachlorohydrate. The other derivatives are currently classified as harmless in terms of their use in cosmetics and possible passage through the skin.
But beware of the aluminum introduced into the body, whether by food or vaccines.

It is now proven that aluminum accumulates in the brain and that this accumulation is one of the causes of Alzheimer's disease.

The last report of September 2016, following the study conducted by 2 Swiss researchers on mice, shows that prolonged exposure to aluminum salt can indeed lead to tumours.

Aluminum oxide present in clays of all kinds, is not harmful to the body.

Properties of the Alun Stone

It's an excellent astringent and an antiseptic.
She has the advantage of not covering another odor. It does not prevent you from sweating, it simply avoids the proliferation of bacteria responsible for bad odors. The particular structure of the molecules makes that the molecules cannot penetrate the skin.
Attention to people with sensitive skin : if the alun stone is used too soon after shaving or hair removal, skin irritation may occur.

Natural or synthetic alum stone

Natural: The alunite-based potassium alunite stone, extracted by blocks in quarries of alunifer shale, then cut and polished. Careers are found in various parts of the world.
Synthetic: Alun stone made from ammonium salt, by-product of the Asian heavy chemical industry (by-product of Caprolactam from the nylon industries).

Composition of the natural alum

It is a salt (double sulfate) composed of aluminum sulfate, potassium sulfate and crystallization water.
Aluminum, in the form of hydroxide or oxide (aluminum) is the essential constituent of clays.

Aluminum hydroxide + hydrogen sulfate = aluminum sulfate + water

Potassium hydroxide + hydrogen sulfate = potassium sulfate + water

Two salts are obtained to form the double sulfate of aluminum and potassium called ALUN more simply.

The natural alum stone must have as the only indication INCI: Potassium Alum.

Alun Stone: ecological and economic deodorant

The manufacture of alum stone is very ecological since after extraction, it is just polished so as to remove the asperities that could hurt during its use.

It is also very economical since an alun stone can last at least 1 year, so overall 5 to 10 times more than a traditional deodorant!

Our Alun Stones 100% natural

We currently have no specific information on ammonium-based synthetic stone, but, as a matter of precaution and ethics, our stones of Alun are of natural originbased on potassium.

Ingredients: Potassium Alun or 100% natural potassium salt.

If you see in the composition the term "Ammonium", then mistrust yourself, it is no longer a stone of natural origin.

The choice is not gigantic, but at the same time a stone of alum remains a stone of alum!! The difference will be in the application mode. So you can apply it in stick, spray or roll on, depending on what is best for you.

RAPPEL: All our moon stones are guaranteed without aluminum hydrochloride.
