What you need to know about whitefly
Feeding exclusively on the sap of plants, you can find them on all sorts of plants, in homes, greenhouses or outdoors in summer. As the female can lay 500 eggs and the larva takes 3 weeks to develop at temperatures above 20°C, it's best to act quickly when you find them.
How do you get rid of whitefly ?
For houseplants that can withstand the cold, put them outside for a few days in winter.
As an insecticide solution, treat with our 4J insecticide diluted to 1.5%. For larger treatment areas, opt for this insecticide in concentrated form and make your own ready-to-use 1.5% insecticide. (985 ml water + 15 ml 4J insecticide concentrate). Ecodoo All Insects aerosols and Aries flying insecticide are also very effective. Because they contain added alcohol, the products are more volatile and stay in suspension longer, so they target flying insects more effectively.
Finally, our Habitat fogger will also be formidable against whitefly. It's an automatic diffuser made exclusively from active ingredients of plant origin (available in 3 sizes).
