Ecocert, monitoring and certification body
For 20 years, Ecocert’s core business has been to monitor on the ground compliance with the requirements defined in a repository, and to issue the certification document that certifies the conformity of the product, system or service to that repository.
History: organic farming
Ecocert is a monitoring and certification bodyFounded in France in 1991 by agribusiness engineers aware of the need to develop environmentally friendly agriculture and to offer recognition to those who engage in this mode of production.
Ecocert has therefore specialized, from its inception, in the certification of products from organic farming.
Ecocert contributed to the development of organic farming in the 1990s by participating in the drafting of French and European regulations. Ecocert is still very involved in the development of organic farming, and is now working with French and international institutions to support the development of projects. By winning the trust of professionals and consumers, Ecocert has become a reference to organic certification worldwide.
