Simultaneously press the two notches on the top of the diffuser to unclip the blue holder. Take a pad and slide it into the slot. Pour in a few drops of essential oil and snap the holder back into the diffuser. When using for the first time, pull the transparent tab to activate the batteries. Press the switch on the side of the diffuser to turn it on. It has a green operating light and a timer. It is a very efficient and quiet product, you will have a hard time without it !
