The ultrasonic diffuser

The ultrasonic diffuser, also known as an ultra-sound diffuser or mister, is a somewhat technical but highly effective device.

It is based on the airborne suspension of a mass of water and essential oils when they come into resonance with a train of very high frequency waves (16 to 20 Mhz). This method of diffusion is carried out cold so as not to denature your essential oils and, above all, to preserve all their energetic value.

What's more, ultra-sound diffusion slightly humidifies the air around you, making it less dry and more breathable. Less powerful than a fogging diffuser, the mister is very quiet (the water splashes a little) and will still cover an area of around 30 m². There is a wide choice of ultrasonic models. The surface area covered/price ratio is often unbeatable.

If you want to diffuse essential oils for therapeutic purposes, forget the mister. Unlike nebulisation, the essential oil particles are not sprayed pure into the air, but coupled with heavy water particles in liquid form. The active ingredients of the aromatic molecules will therefore remain suspended in the air for less time before falling back, reducing the duration of the effects of the essential oils.

This method of diffusion is still ideal for enjoying the lovely mist that escapes and for creating a pleasant olfactory ambience.

It combines a cleaning, disinfecting and descaling action.

How to use it?

In an empty diffuser, pour 30 drops of the cleanser onto the diffuser tablet, add 30 ml of water and stir gently to moisten the edges of the bowl. Leave for 10 minutes and then rinse with water.

Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Causes skin irritation. Causes severe eye irritation. Contains p-mentha-1,3-diene, cineole, p-mentha-1,4(8)-diene. May produce an allergic reaction.
