Beeswax is a yellowish, plastic substance, secreted by bees, which make it the combs of their hives. It is a rather rare product because it is necessary for the bees to produce between 5 and 7.5 kg of honey, to obtain in parallel 300 grs of wax. This wax is harvested at the end of the season. It is obtained without solvent, by centrifugation and separation of honey by boiling water. Soft to the touch and with a pleasant smell, beeswax is unique for its film-forming, moisturizing, protective, antistatic qualities as well as for its purifying properties.

Of cosmetic quality and 100% natural, it allows the development of many products. It is also an essential basic ingredient if you want to start your own preparations. Making your own lip balm, soap, deodorant or even liniment will become child's play.

Presented in the form of microbeads (nuggets) in a cardboard tube, it is soft to the touch and has a pleasant smell. It is film-forming and stabilizes emulsions. The wax melts at 63° and thus mixes perfectly with your preparations. Anaé nugget beeswax is 100% natural.

1 - Deodorant
Start by weighing all your ingredients. Melt the coconut oil and beeswax in a bain-marie. Once the mixture has melted, gently add while mixing the baking soda and then the talc. Finally, add a few drops of Palmarosa essential oil and mix everything together. Transfer the mixture obtained in your deodorant stick or in a jar and let it cool. Use deodorant at room temperature. If it is very hot, put it in the refrigerator. This deodorant has a very pleasant texture and smell. It is effective thanks to the absorbent properties of bicarbonate and talc. It is very gentle on the skin.

Ingredients : 25 grams of organic coconut vegetable oil, 15 grams of baking soda, 10 grams of talc, 5 drops of Palmarosa essential oil, 2.5 grams of beeswax (1/2 tsp).

2 - Moisturizing milk
Melt the beeswax with the organic camelina oil in a bain-marie until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Off the heat, add the organic glycerin, wheat germ oil and lavender essential oil. Gently incorporate the hydrosol. This step is the most important for obtaining milk. Transfer to your jar. You will get a multipurpose milk that will hydrate and nourish the skin of the whole family.

Ingredients : 60 ml of organic camelina oil, 2 teaspoons of beeswax, 6 ml (1 full teaspoon) of organic vegetable glycerin, 1/2 teaspoon of wheat germ oil, 20 drops of true lavender essential oil and 35 ml of rose hydrosol.

3 - Lip balm
Melt the beeswax in a bain-marie with the coconut oil. Off the heat, add the organic camelina oil and stir quickly. Pour into a small jar and let cool so that the mixture hardens. The lips are all soft and nourished, ready to face the aggressions of winter.

Ingredients : 1/2 tbsp of beeswax, 1 tbsp of organic camelina oil and 2 tbsp of organic coconut oil

4 - Styling wax
Melt the oils and beeswax over low heat. Remove from the heat and add the essential oil. Pour the resulting mixture into a jar. When using it, take a hazelnut of your preparation and warm it by rubbing it in your hands. For light and shiny hair.

Ingredients : 2 tbsp of coconut oil, 2 tbsp of beeswax, 1 tbsp of dry oil (argan, jojoba), a few drops of essential oils if necessary

5 - After sun milk
Melt the beeswax with the organic camelina oil in a bain-marie until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Off the heat, add the organic glycerin, vitamin E preservative and lavender essential oil. Incorporate the water by pouring it slowly, while gently mixing with a whisk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Continue to mix until the mixture has completely cooled. Transfer to your pump bottle.

Ingredients : For about 100 ml of milk: 120 ml of organic camelina oil, 2 teaspoons (shaved approx. 5 g) of beeswax, 35 ml of spring water, chamomile hydrosol or orange blossom, 6 ml (1 full teaspoon) of organic vegetable glycerin, 10 drops of Vitamin E antioxidant preservative, 20 drops of true lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia).

The date of the beginnings of use of beeswax is lost in the mists of time and the first writings mention its use as an ointment, cosmetic and of course raw material for the manufacture of candles. Considered a noble and precious material, beeswax was found in the tombs of several pharaohs and was used as currency for the payment of taxes in Roman times. Mythological stories also mention it: one of the most famous is the story of Icarus who used wax to seal his wings and escape, with his father Daedalus, from the labyrinth where Minos had locked them up. Icarus, reckless, approached too close to the sun, the wax melted, and Icarus sank into the sea.
