The Damask Rose flowers only for two weeks. The petals are harvested and distilled to produce the true water of Bulgarian Rose which enters the composition of almost 95% of the fragrances. Rose’s water is, in fact, used for centuries in cosmetics and is one of the most known floral waters.

The organic Damask rose floral water is now appreciated for its illuminating, purifying and softening properties of dry, sensitive or devitalized skins. Used in a lotion, to make the skin clean and tone, it promotes a smooth and unified complexion. This floral water of Damascus rose is especially recommended for normal skin and dry and mature skins.

- Tonifying and soothing : it regenerates epidermis and atone and devitalized skins.
- Strictly : it has an anti-aging effect.
- Its retensive effect of tissue allows it to prevent the appearance of wrinkles and erase the marks of fatigue.
- Astringent and purifying : it also gives a new shine to oily skins.
- Softening : it is suitable for dry and sensitive skins.

This floral water can be used in vaporization at any time of the day to refresh your face, but also in compresses after removal to purify the skin or mixed with a cream of care or a mask. But be careful, it is not advisable to let it dry on the skin (risk of dehydration).
You can also include it in your cosmetics: add floral rose water in a cream or a beauty mask to customize it.

Located at altitude and on different floors, the roses have a progressive flowering that lasts longer than in plains. Thus, the distillation period extends over 3 months instead of 3 weeks to 1 month. Our solidarity commitment over several years allows our partner, isolated from large cities, to engage in projects for the development of the pink sector with visibility. Last completed projects: implantation of a new distillery of 3 alambics of 1000L capable of producing 170 T/year of floral rose water! The new entity employs 6 people. Before 2017, roses were only picked and dried, without having a nearby distillery and a secure access route. Essential oil and floral water were then unexploited.

Hydrolat is the water collected after distillation of a plant, it contains in small proportions the same components as the essential oil extracted from it, but also other soluble components contained in the plant that cannot be in the essential oil. The floral water, as its name suggests, is a "maceration" of flower petals in water, so the term hydrolat is more appropriate but in general it is rather the term "water" that is used.

Unlike essential oils, hydrolat, weakly concentrated in active ingredients, little to be used without special care.
There are as many hydrolats as essential oils. Those we sell on Penntybio cover most current needs; they were chosen for their qualities and properties.
