Some information about cinnamon
Cinnamon is a tree always green about 15 meters high with thick leaves and white flowers. The bark is harvested every 2 years and then dried and sold as food sticks. The cane leaf gives an essential oil very rich in eugenol giving it marked insect repellent properties. Moreover, the essential oil of these leaves is spicy and close to the clove known for its purifying properties. As such, it is excellent for mitigating bad odors such as tobacco or cooking.
The very fragrant aroma of cinnamon reminds a little of that of molisse. You can mix it with citrus, lavender, pine or rosemary. This essential oil is a powerful insecticide, antiseptic, antiviral and antibacterial. You can use it to treat insect bites, cooling and viral infections.

*The chmotype is the identity card of the essential oil, its chemically defined composition by chromatographic analysis. A single plant may have several compositions depending on the place and variety. A chmotype depends on a property, a smell, a taste.

Therapeutic properties of essential oil of Cinnamon
Major : Anti-infectious major, pest control, antispasmodic, tonic and stimulant
Secondary :Anti-oxidant
Never apply pure cinnamon essential oil on the skin but diluted to 20% minimum. Avoid pregnant women and children under 6 years of age. The essential oil of leaf cinnamon is less irritating to the skin than the essential oil of Ecorce cinnamon. However, it must be used carefully.
Note : The names Cinnamomum zeylanicum, verum, aromaticum all correspond to the Cinnamon of Ceylan, unlike the Cinnamomum cassia which is cinnamon of China.
Instructions for use
Essential oils are powerful natural substances and should be used with care. Although essential oils have been used since antiquity, their use and precautions are often poorly known. Many works deal with essential oils. It is therefore advisable to refer to the traditional ways of use.
For example, some examples of use
Help stimulate the body's natural defences. The recommended daily dose is 1 drop diluted in a teaspoon of honey, then in a hot drink, once a day.
Cinnamon, by its hot and spicy smell, is very appreciated for flavour teas, infusions or cakes. Place 1 drop previously diluted in a teaspoon of honey or in neutral vegetable oil.
In case of respiratory infections, flu, cold or sinusitis, pour 3 drops of essential cinnamon oil into a hot water bowl, inhale for 10 minutes, the head covered with a towel.
For maintain vitality and intellectual tone but also for clean up the ambient air from your interior, spread 15 to 30 minutes of essential cinnamon oil in the living rooms.
It is advisable to mix a few drops of essential oil with a vegetable oil (soft almond, jojoba, macadamia, musk rose, argan, olive, etc) to use it as massage oil.
In case of nail mycose, insect bites, acne15 to 30 dilute drops in 100ml of millepertuis oil, in localized application or incorporated on a humidified hot compress.
Essential oils that are not soluble in water must be mixed with an emulsifier before pouring them into the bath. For example, they can be blended with a liquid soap or a neutral shampoo (1 tablespoons). You can also use our dispersant Solubol®. It is advisable not to stay there for more than 20 minutes. The use of 10 drops of Ceylan cinnamon in a bath will be good in case of fatigue, cold, sinusitis. We also associate him with good effects in case of impotence or frigidity.
