Some information about Scots pine

It is a coniferous tree originating from Asia, which likes the mountains and which has developed throughout Western Europe. Its resin and essential oil have been known and used in popular medicine for a long time. The needles of this conifer are distilled. The essential oil of Scots pine is colourless, strongly aromatic and characteristic of softwoods.

With its fresh forest and pine sap scent, it blends well with cedar, eucalyptus and rosemary. Scots pine essential oil is a powerful pulmonary antiseptic in case of a cold.

Invigorating and tonic, this oil invigorates and stimulates the mind. It relieves stress and facilitates concentration. To tone your skin and respiratory system, relax your tired or aching muscles, put a few drops in your bath !

Note : It is possible to diffuse Scots pine essential oil pure but it is preferable to diffuse it in association with other essential oils: diluting it between 20 and 60% with citrus essential oils will avoid possible irritation of the mucous membranes. Pregnant women over 3 months old can use it for atmospheric diffusion.

100% pure and natural oil

An essential oil is made up of chemically defined molecules (about 10,000 listed) that have been secreted by special plant cells. It can consist of from one to several hundred molecules, which helps explain why some essential oils have many properties but different therapeutic effectiveness. To guarantee the properties necessary for effective aromatherapy, it is important that an essential oil is 100% pure and natural (not cut, not deterpenated, not mixed with alcohol or vegetable oils) and preferably organic. This is the case for the essential oils we sell. They are sold in tinted bottles with a dropper cap.
