Clary Sage essential oil is traditionally recommended to promote female comfort, especially during menopause. The essential oil is also known to fight against hair loss. Regulating, clary sage essential oil is known to have a positive effect on oily hair.

Some information on the clary sage
Originally from Western Asia and Southern and Central Europe, this biennial herbaceous plant is widely cultivated in temperate countries as ornamental plant but mainly to produce an essential oil used in the manufacture of liqueurs or perfumes (such as Cologne water for example). Sage was one of the salvage plants of the Middle Ages. The Greeks, the Romans and the Arabs used it commonly as tonic and compressed against snake bites, Egyptian women used to drink sage juice to increase their fertility, "Who has sage in her garden, does not need a doctor" (Provencal dictation).
The harvest of the aerial parts of the plant is done just before flowering, these parts are then distilled to extract the essential oil.
Queen of Medicinal Plants, the sage may be "hard" (sclarea comes from the greek sklaros, "rigide"), but it is above all beneficial (salvia comes from the latin salvare,"sauver").

*The chmotype is the identity card of the essential oil, its chemically defined composition by chromatographic analysis. A single plant may have several compositions depending on the place and variety. A chmotype depends on a property, a smell, a taste.

Characteristics of essential clary sage oil
With a fruity, amber and musk odor, sage, having virtues similar to female hormones, is often associated with the moon. (The lunar cycle with a reputation for acting and governing female functions). The sage effectively fights against women's cycle disorders (doulourous rules, absence of rules, premenstrual syndrôme, menopause...).
Depressive, lunatic, irritable people will be receptive to antidepressive virtues, rebalancing the nervous and euphoric system conferred on sage.
The essential oil of sclared sage is a powerful euphoric and natural regulating. It effectively fights against all side effects of fatigue and stress ( muscular contractions, depression, anxiety, excessive sweating, dry or fat skin, fatty hair, dull or tired, hair loss...).
In massages, friction or baths, it will promote relaxation and blood circulation while eliminating toxins and water retention. Its antispasmodic capacity particularly indicates the use, inhalation, of the essential oil of serrated sage in cases of asthma or bronchitis.
In Gargarism, its antiseptic effects act directly on sore throats, aphthuses and stomatites.
The main active components of the essential oil of Salvia sclarea, which counts two hundred and fifty, are monoterphenols (linalol), so-called "sclareols", terpenic esters (Linalyle acetate) and coumarins.
Therapeutic properties of essential clary sage oil
Principal : Oestrogen-like, Calmante and relaxing, Antispasmodic, Anti-infectious.
Secondary : Anti-inflammatory, Anticholesterol
The info + : Unlike an official sage, the sclared sage does not contain no toxic substances for the nervous system. There is therefore no risk of seizures associated with its use in aromatherapy.
Sclared sage essential oil is not recommended for estrogen-dependent tumors. Use with caution because of its hormonal influence for women. Ask a professional.
Instructions for use
Essential oils are powerful natural substances and should be used with care. Although essential oils have been used since antiquity, their use and precautions are often poorly known. Many works deal with essential oils. It is therefore advisable to refer to the traditional ways of use. The essential oil of sclared sage can be irritating to the skin. In case of skin application, use always diluted.
For example, some examples of use
In case of menopause-related heat pumps or if you have irregular rules: swallow 2 drops of essential oil from Clary sage diluted in 1 teaspoon of honey, twice a day.
It is advisable to mix a few drops of essential oil with a vegetable oil (soft almond, jojoba, macadamia, musk rose, argan, olive, etc) to use it as massage oil.
For promote female balance and help regulate menstrual cycles, you will dilute 2 to 3 drops of essential sage oil in neutral vegetable oil, then massage the lower belly.
To promote the removal of orange skin, you will dilute 2 drops of sage + 4 drops of salt cypress in a soup spoon of vegetable oil, then mass the affected areas.
For promote healthy skin, especially in case of oily skin, inflammation or disgrace buttons, you will mix 2 to 3 drops in a neutral vegetable oil, then massage locally.
In case of excessive sweating of feet: in a small bottle, dilute 5 drops of essential oil from Sclared sage + 10 drops of essential oil from Palmarosa + 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (soft almondf or example). Each morning, massage the plant of the feet with 2 or 3 drops of this mixture.
Essential oils that are not soluble in water must be mixed with an emulsifier before pouring them into the bath. For example, you can mix them with a liquid soap, a neutral shampoo (1 tablespoons) or our Solubol®. As a general rule, it is advisable not to exceed 10 drops per bath and not to stay more than 20 minutes. Sprinkle 5 to 10 drops of essential sage oil in a hot bath will offer a relaxing bath and good circulation (help to retain light legs).
Against fatty hair : add 2 drops of essential sage oil clarified in your shampoo dose.
100% pure and natural oil
One essential oil consists of chemically defined molecules (approximately 10,000 identified) that have been secreted by special plant cells. It can be made up of one to several hundred molecules, which allows to explain why some essential oils have many properties but with different therapeutic efficiency. To guarantee the properties necessary for effective aromatherapy, it is important that an essential oil or 100% pure and natural (not cut, deterped, or mixed with alcohol or vegetable oils) and preferably biological.
