Organic Camphorated Rosemary Essential Oil

Organic camphorated rosemary essential oilIt is a typically Mediterranean shrub, very branched, which can reach 1.50 to 2 meters in height. It is fragrant. Its blue to purple flowers bloom several times a year. It is a plant with multiple uses: condiments, medicinal… Its name means Rose de mer in French and Rose de Marie in English. Formerly used in Egypt, venerated by the Greeks and Romans as a symbol of love and death, rosemary essential oil is today a raw material of choice for beauty products and perfumes. It is very light yellow and has a camphor aroma.

Its high content of camphor allows this essential oil to be found widely in aromatherapy in preparations for sports massages (painkiller and heating effects). It is traditionally used in case of cramps, body aches, joint or muscle pain. Hepatic and lipolytic draining, it is also ideal as a complement to slimming diets to fight against cellulite and water retention. Finally, also containing 1,8-cineole, it has significant expectorant properties. It will thus be able to thin the mucus during a cold.

Camphor rosemary essential oil is prohibited in cases of hormone-dependent cancer or high blood pressure. This essential oil is also abortifacient, so pregnant women are advised not to use it. Subjects sensitive to camphor and epileptics, abstain.

  

Usage tips

Essential oils are powerful natural substances and should therefore be used with care. Even if essential oils have been used since Antiquity, their mode of use and the precautions for use are often poorly known. Many books deal with essential oils. It is therefore advisable to refer to it to find out about the traditional modes of use.

As an indication, some examples of use

  

Application by massage or compress

It is advisable to mix a few drops of essential oil with a vegetable oil (sweet almond, jojoba, macadamia, rosehip, argan, olive, etc.) to use it as a massage oil.

To warm (before exercise) and promote relaxation (after exercise) of muscles and joints, you can dilute 5 to 10 drops of rosemary camphor essential oil in vegetable oil (arnica and calendula being the most suitable for this use).

To promote good circulation and beautiful legs, especially in the event of varicose veins, you can dilute 5 to 10 drops in a vegetable oil in localized massages.

To relieve torticollis, 1 drop in 4 drops of vegetable oil on the affected area, 4 times a day, until improvement.

To fight cellulite, mix 10 drops of rosemary camphor essential oil in a tablespoon of arnica vegetable oil. Massage the affected areas.

To limit hair loss, massage the scalp before your shampoo with 10 drops of rosemary camphor essential oil for a full tablespoon of vegetable oil (or 3 drops of essential oil for 4 drops of vegetable oil ).

 

Use by broadcast

The essential oil of rosemary camphor used in diffusion will allow to install an invigorating and stimulating atmosphere, conducive to concentration. Diffusion for 1 hour in the living rooms.

It is also quite effective in the fight against insects : pour about ten drops into your essential oil diffuser and diffuse in periods of 30 minutes maximum.

 

Use by infusion

Used as an infusion, camphorated rosemary essential oil will help adults fight colds. Put a few drops in an infusion.

Use in the bath  Since essential oils are not soluble in water, they must be mixed with an emulsifier before pouring them into the bath. For example, they can be mixed with a liquid soap, a neutral shampoo (1 tablespoon) or our dispersant Solubol®. As a general rule, it is advisable not to exceed 10 to 20 drops per bath and not to not stay there more than 20 minutes. Dispersing 20 drops of rosemary camphor essential oil in a hot bath will provide a stimulating and relaxing bath. To restore vigor to dull hair, a few drops incorporated into a basic shampoo.

 

Oral useTo promote good circulation, you can dilute 1 drop of rosemary camphor essential oil in a teaspoon of honey or vegetable oil, 1 to 3 times a day (maximum daily dose: 3 drops, i.e. 0 .12ml).
