Yield : 2%. It therefore takes 100 kg of plant to obtain 2 kg of Eucalyptus radiata essential oil.

Species native to the coast of New South Wales in Australia, eucalyptus seem to be surrounded by a bluish halo from the evapotranspiration of the leaves during the summer heat. The essential oil is colorless and its aroma fresh and slightly minty. Very volatile, very penetrating and almost heady, it has this characteristic smell due to its major component (70% eucalyptole).

With a less powerful aroma and therefore more pleasant to breathe, Eucalyptus radiata will replace eucalyptus globulus for children and allergy sufferers, especially during the first winter attacks. Antiviral, decongestant and expectorant, eucalyptus radiata is the ideal essential oil for respiratory ailments, whether viral (cold, flu) or bacterial (bronchitis, sinusitis, otitis).

Pleasant to breathe, it is a great nasal decongestant. It also has the power to heal skin infections, support the immune system and give energy.

1-8-cineol, alpha-terpineol
*The chemotype is the identity card of the essential oil, its composition chemically defined by chromatographic analysis. The same plant can have several compositions depending on the place and the variety. A chemotype depends on a property, an odor, a taste.

The essential oil of Eucalyptus radiata contains in particular as active ingredients oxides (1,8-cineole: 72% -75% - 80%) and a monoterpenol (alpha-terpineol).

Allergens naturally contained in this essential oil : D-Limonene, Geraniol, Citral, Citronellol, Linalool.

Upper respiratory tract, flu, acne, fatigue, sinusitis, otitis, etc.

An essential oil is made up of chemically defined molecules (about 10,000 listed) that have been secreted by special plant cells. It can consist of from one to several hundred molecules, which helps explain why some essential oils have many properties but different therapeutic effectiveness. To guarantee the properties necessary for effective aromatherapy, it is important that an essential oil is 100% pure and natural (not cut, not deterpenated, not mixed with alcohol or vegetable oils) and preferably organic.
