Origin : Morocco

Performance : 2.4% to 2.6%. It therefore takes 100 kg of plant to obtain between 2.4 kg and 2.6 kg of essential cedar oil.

It is a much more majestic and imposing look tree than other species, which can easily exceed 40 m high. The Atlas cedar lives in the mountainous areas and the cedars develop between an altitude of 1500 to 2500 m, with a preference for the north and west slopes much more watered. Atlas cedar is a powerful antiseptic.

Its "masculine" odor makes it a predilection product for men's care: sanitizing, healing, astringent, it can be added to a cream for oily skin, a shampoo, etc. Its lipolytic property promotes the decomposition of fatty bodies and will therefore be effective against cellulite and hair problems due to fatty hair, damaged ... This essential oil also promotes good circulation. It is also decongestant and antiseptic of the respiratory tract.

*The chmotype is the identity card of the essential oil, its chemically defined composition by chromatographic analysis. A single plant may have several compositions depending on the place and variety. A chmotype depends on a property, a smell, a taste.

The main active components of the essential cedar oil of the Himalayas are sesquiterpenes (alpha-himachalène, betahimachalène) and sesquiterpennic cetones (atlantones).
