The use of clay is very old, probably for millennia. We find traces of its use among the Egyptians, the Chinese, the Greeks, the Romans,... Gradually neglected over the centuries, clay regained its place thanks to certain naturopaths who used it successfully to cure certain ailments.

White clay can be used internally or externally. We will limit ourselves to its cosmetic use to maintain your skin or your hair. The clay can be used alone or mixed with other ingredients such as hydrosol or vegetable oil. Easy to use and inexpensive, clay can purify, cleanse, tone and soften any type of skin.

White clay or kaolin (Chinese locality where the main deposit is located) is a very soft clay, more neutral, it will therefore be mainly recommended for dry, sensitive, fragile or mature skin, but also as a hair mask to revitalize dry hair. 

The white clay respects all skin types, even the most mature, by bringing them a beautiful softness that respects the epidermis. And thanks to its wonderful anti-greyness and refreshing power, it instantly reveals the skin's radiance while revitalizing it in depth.

Recommended for dull skin. White clay is naturally rich in mineral salts: there is iron, zinc, silicon, magnesium, potassium, calcium, etc. It is a very rich compound. Due to its very fine grain size, ultra-ventilated white clay is perfect for use in a bath. Dilute a 200gr sachet of white clay in your bath. You can add a few drops of essential oils of your choice. Relax for 20 min. Rinse with clear water. Your skin regains suppleness and extreme softness.

Its most common use in cosmetics is in the form of a mask which attracts impurities, promotes healing and stimulates blood circulation. Its use is very simple since it is enough to mix 2 to 3 tablespoons of clay with mineral water, floral water or a decoction, of plants and to stir the whole with a wooden spatula, your mask is ready. You can also use it as a beauty mask for your skin or as a revitalizing mask for your hair.


Hair mask with essential oils :

1. Prepare your clay as indicated on the bag.
2. In a tablespoon of vegetable oil (sweet almond for example), add about fifteen drops in total of one or more essential oils (depending on your hair).
3. Mix everything and apply this preparation as a mask on your scalp.
4. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes then shampoo and rinse

Face mask with essential oils :

1. Prepare your clay as indicated on the bag
2. In a teaspoon of vegetable oil (depending on your skin), add one to 2 drops of essential oils (depending on your skin)
3. You can also add a teaspoon of honey
4. Apply a thick layer to your face, even around the eyes.
5. Leave on for 10 minutes then remove the mask with lukewarm water (do not let the clay dry).
6. Splash face with cold water. Dry well

- To prepare the white clay, you must not use metal. Prefer instead a wooden spatula and a glass cup for example.
- The clay is not reusable, you have to throw it after use.
- Do not let the clay dry on the skin, re-humidifying if necessary.
