Bed bug protection cover - Mattress or box spring or pillow - Sanisom®
Mattress, box spring or pillow covers, specifically designed to fight against bed bugs. Completely sealed against insects, they will eliminate all entry or exit points. A great way to make them prisoners if you have them but also to prevent them from invading your bedding. Several sizes possible.
The bed bug does not have this name by chance. This opportunistic insect loves to take refuge as close as possible to your bedding. She can find hiding places there and wait patiently for the light to go out to come and sting you and feed.
Your mattresses, box springs or bed frames are full of ideal hiding places for bed bugs to lay eggs and multiply in shelter.
Sanisom® protective covers have been designed to protect and insulate your mattress, box spring and pillow. Accessories that have become essential to contain and prevent any invasion or reproduction of bedbugs.
Who are these protective covers for ?
Individuals or accommodation professionals (hotel, lodge, bed and breakfast, etc.) ... In fact, all people who wish to fight against bed bugs.
Bedbug proof... but not airtight !
Fully waterproof, these protective covers eliminate anything that can be an infiltration point for bedbugs and larvae thanks to the zippers they are equipped with on each side.
In addition to being 100% waterproof against the intrusion of insects, the great advantage of these protective covers is that they are fully breathable. During our sleep, we sweat a lot and lose about 40 cl of water. This perspiration infiltrates the mattress and moistens it, which leads to the formation of mold, a privileged home for bacteria. The protective covers that we offer are made of stretch fabric allowing the exchange of air and water between the mattress and your body. This information is to be privileged in the choice of a protective cover. Invest in a cover that doesn't allow your mattress to breathe and you'll quickly run into trouble.
Investing in a bed bug cover : in which case?
1 - PROTECTION: Bedbugs are present and have already invaded your bedding : The waterproof protective cover will trap them. Bedbugs will no longer be able to bite you, so no longer feed. They will eventually die of starvation. Do not change your bedding, rather protect it with protective covers. I assure you that it will cost you less in the end.
2 – PREVENTION: Bed bugs have not yet arrived at your home and you want to protect yourself from them : It's a chance for your bedding and especially for you, believe me! Quickly insulate the bed base, mattress and pillow with a protective cover to prevent bedbugs from settling there.
Did you know ?
American researchers have shown that during a bed bug invasion, 70% of them take refuge in our bedding (mattress, box spring, headboard structure). The remaining 30% (baseboards, floor grooves, nearby furniture) are only a few meters away, since they are located in the same room. We quickly understand the interest of isolating our bedding with anti-bedbug protective covers.
Is it that expensive ?
The price of these covers may seem expensive. But keep in mind that it is a real investment over time.
1 - These anti-bedbug covers represent a real impenetrable barrier = Your bed will be the best protected place in your home.
2 - Durably protected mattress, box spring and pillow = No need for chemicals to treat your bedding = Money saving
Deduct from this investment all the products that you will no longer have to buy and the loss of time to process and reprocess thoroughly, above and below the bed base and the mattress.
3 - These covers give your bedding a real facelift and save you having to change it.

A very resistant fabric that does not make noise
Before offering you protective covers against bedbugs, we tested several. We wanted to offer you a fabric which obviously does not allow any insect intrusion but also which does not make any noise. There is nothing more unpleasant than hearing this noise of friction as soon as you make a movement. The technical fabric developed by Sanisom® is extremely pleasant to the touch. The mixture of polyester and elastane allows the fabric to be extensible but also extremely discreet in relation to friction noise. A real significant asset, to get a good night's sleep, while being protected.
Covers designed in France
Specialized at its beginnings in 2009 in anti-mite treatment, the French company Sanisom® quickly became interested in the scourge of bedbugs. Sanisom® is now a key player in the sanitation of your bedding by offering these anti-bedbug protective covers. The know-how and quality materials exist in France. Why buy covers from China or the United States? Buying products designed in France inevitably means a lower environmental impact and strong economic support for our companies established in France.
Stretch covers for all models
The composition of this technical fabric allows it to perfectly fit your mattress, box spring or pillow. Choosing the right size is important. This avoids creases and eliminates any possible hiding places for the bed bug arriving from outside. Detection is therefore much more effective. Sanisom® protective covers adapt to mattresses and box springs ranging from 15 to 30 cm thick. Sanisom® is also the only company offering a specific range of slatted bed bases (thickness 6 cm).
A pillow cover... but not only !
You are going on a business trip or weekend for a few days. You don't want to come home with bedbugs in your suitcase? Then anti-bedbug pillow covers can allow you to fully isolate your clothes from any intrusions during your stay. Complete the treatment of your suitcase with our 4J 10% 250 ml insecticide.
How is the passage of the feet on the bed base ?
Most bed legs are now pointed with a thread. Put on the bed base protective cover. Once the cover is in place, stretch the fabric well and make very small holes at the tightening points. Tighten the feet as far as possible crossing the fabric. It is sometimes not necessary to make holes because the fabric is very resistant. The fabric will then catch in the thread.
How long should they stay in place ?
If your bedding is not contaminated with bed bugs, you can leave the protective covers in place as long as you wish. Machine washing once a year at 60°C is recommended.
If bed bugs are inside your bedding, it is recommended that you leave the covers in place for at least 18 months before removing them. 2 years is even better. Bedbugs can stay alive for a very long time and not feed for over a year.
Is it possible to clean a mattress protected by a cover with a dry steam cleaner ?
No, it is not advisable to do so because there is elastane in the fabric, it is like heating a rubber band. If you think you have bedbugs under the installed cover, it is best to leave it in place for 18 months so that the bedbugs starve inside. If you think you don't have bed bugs under the cover, it is better to remove the cover and machine wash it at 60° max and treat the mattress with our insecticides.
